It's a showy medicinal flower that you can often find along roadsides and fields. All parts of the edible plant are in fact edible including the leaves, stem, roots, flowers, and seeds. Foraging for this plant also might be something of interest because it's a wild medicinal plant as well.
An interesting use for Queen Anne's lace / wild carrot is the seeds have been used as a natural contraceptive. The seeds have been used as a kind of morning after pill to prevent conception.
Wild carrot does have some similar looking plants thar are poisonous, so please be sure to make a positive identification before using Queen Anne's lace.

When’s the best time to forage them? Are they sweeter in spring and get bitter in summer?

The bindweed constantly strangles my Roses and shrubs, so annoying! It's a shame because the flowers are pretty but it just suffocates everything else! The other name for the roots is Devils guts and I can see why!

I've never planted them, but they can get pretty big and take up a lot of space. I would try 6-12" apart.

Burdock roots can be very impressive. They can go straight down a few feet and can be a challenge to dig up. I baked mine in the oven for about 45 minutes at 350 F. I added olive oil, Himalayan salt, and black pepper. Delicious!

For short term use, I would just keep it in the fridge. You could also put it in some pickle brine for pickled purslane!

My cousin likes to pick wild edibles on her land. She made “fried greens” from plants that grow wild and I got really sick. My throat was starting to close up and I ended up throwing up. Just because something is wild doesn’t mean it is safe for everyone.

With the purple stem, it might have been the poison look-alike. I must learn more, used to know this plant. We each need to verify well and know what we are doing.

I used it a couple of days ago and loved it. A tea ball full in a coffee cup of water heated for 4 minutes in a microwave and the inserted tea ball and steeped for about 30 minutes, sweetened with stevia. Sipped that cup 4 times in about 5 minutes and the rest of the cup over the rest of the day. Loved it, worked like a charm. Strength wise mine was much stronger. Not being sure as too how strong it should be I made it strong and then gingerly sipped it until I felt it begin to work. Kind of surprised me so I sipped it as the day went on and only as I felt the affect was declining. As many medicines are made from plants go carefully when using anything, study it, understand interactions, I use drugs, Com for info as well.

My husband and I drink burdock root, nettle root and either spearmint or peppermint leaves mixed in for a yummier flavor. We have burdock growing all over our property here in North Idaho. First year roots are the most medicinal that should be dug up in fall or early spring. Great for liver and kidney.

Misunderstood!!! Morning glories can be controlled very easily, however one of their 'cousins' look like them but they are called bindweeds!! Morning glories are Ipomoea, while bindweeds are convolvulus. Only bindweeds are invasive!!

My plants often grow back again in the fall. I would cut the ones that have flowered down to six inches or so, let some new shoots grow, and harvest again before winter.
